Virtual Production Specialist

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the world’s leading VR trailer house? As a Virtual Production Specialist at LIV Productions, you’ll have the opportunity to drive and shape our real-world production efforts creating authentic Mixed Reality Content using our evolving bleeding-edge VR capture tech.

You will work closely with the Productions team on VR trailers and promotional content for our clients, which include the largest VR platforms and games. The role broadly covers many behind-the-scenes duties, such as production design, lighting and camera operation, as well as assisting in post-production. 

The work will be split to approximately 75% remote, and 25% in-person near Brisbane, Australia.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and creative person, with the hunger to learn and grow their skills in all aspects of Film and Virtual / Mixed Reality Production. You have excellent attention to detail, an eye for composition, and motivation to tackle any task no matter how big or small.

‍Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Productions team to produce trailers and promotional content for the Spatial / VR industry
• Drive the real-world production process of mixed-reality capture; carrying out production design, set building, lighting and camera operation
• Assist with video editing in collaboration with project leads
• Appear in video content; both virtually, and as your real meat-avatar
• Work closely with industry partners and clients to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, on-time and to the highest standard

What You Bring

• Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting techniques, production design
• Experience in virtual reality, particularly in capturing VR video content
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve
• Creative flair and taste; with the ability to execute your vision through ideation, building, production, review and delivery
• Physical capability and enthusiasm to attack any behind-the-scenes task
• An outward seeking, proactive personality; a passion for creating, and a love for film & TV, games and pop culture
• Own transportation for travel to on-location filming
